Birth plan

What is important to you for during your birth? Consider the way you want to birth your baby, who you want to be with you, how you want to manage pain and what your preferences are for the first hour after birth. Think about skin to skin contact, cutting the umbilical cord & breast feeding.

These preferences can be recorded in a birth plan.

Be e aware that a birth cannot be planned and things can go differently than you expected.

It is therefore important to run through your wishes with your midwife in advance so we can try to honor these as much as possible.

Around 35 weeks pregnancy we will discuss the birth and you will have the opportunity to go through your birth plan with us. We will explain what you can expect from us during the birth and when you should call us.
